Series 1: Maps, 1995-1997 Add to Shelf

Series 1 consists of reproductions of 7.5 minute (1:24,000) quadrangle maps annotated with the tsunami inundation boundary for that area. The tsunami inundation boundary is the upper limit of area expected to be covered by flood water from a tsunami caused by a magnitude 8.8 undersea earthquake. The maps are listed primarily from north to south and identifed with the map number and quadrangle name. Most of the maps were issued in 1995; two sheets were produced in 1997. The series also includes an index map. The maps are also available online.

Priest of the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries. The report describes the methods used and results of this tsunami hazard mapping project for the Oregon coast.
