Oregon Fiber Flax Collection, 1940-2001View associated digital content.

Predominant Dates: 1948-1960

Collected by Nancy Arthur Hoskins, a weaving instructor and author on textiles, in the course of her own research on flax, the Oregon Fiber Flax Collection documents the processing, marketing, and use of Oregon-grown fiber flax; the work of Joan Patterson, Professor of Clothing, Textiles, and Related Arts; and the work of Jesse E. Harmond, USDA agricultural engineer and head of Small Seed Harvesting and Processing Investigations at Oregon State College. The collection is comprised of correspondence, publications, reports, photographs, notes, news clippings, and artifacts.

The contents of Box 01 - which includes the correspondence, publications, reports, notes, and news clippings - have been digitized and available upon request.
