Scope and Content Notes
The William F. Herrin Collection contains an original essay written by Herrin in 1872 titled "Success; the Result of Application and Perseverance." The collection also contains three orations written and given by Herrin. The first is "Liberty" from 1872; the second is "Oration and Valedictory Address of the Fourth Commencement of Corvallis College" from 1873; and the third is "Public Duties of Educated Men," an address delivered June 14, 1910 during the Quarter Centennial Jubilee Exercises of Oregon Agricultural College.
