The Oregon Department of Forestry Maps consist of maps produced by the Department, primarily to support it's role in fire protection for private, state, and federal forests in Oregon. The collection include maps of forest protection districts and fireman's maps. Of special note is a 1914 map of the full state depicting areas with merchantable timber and other forest lands.

Series III consists primarily of maps of coastal areas prepared for forest fire protection. The series includes 1:125,000 published maps similar to the forest protection district maps in Series II and 1:62,500 diazo blueline prints. The blueline prints depict fences, firebreaks, harvested areas, and active and inactive lookouts and ranger stations.

Series 4: Map of the State of Oregon, 1914 Add to Shelf
Series IV consists of two copies of a color map prepared and published by the State Board of Forestry in 1914. The map was compiled by Theodore Rowland under the direction of F.A. Elliott, State Forester. It depicts the following six vegetation classifications in color: merchantable timber; cut over areas re-stocking; cut over areas not re-stocking; burned areas re-stocking; burned areas not re-stocking; and brush. The map also shows major rivers, streams, and bodies of water; cities and political boundaries; and roads and railroads. The approximate scale is 1:250,000; each map is approximately 55 x 72 inches. Copy 1 is affixed to linen and relatively stable; it is the preferred copy for researcher use. Copy 2 is fragile and brittle and should be used with special care; it is affixed to wood dowels. Both are stored in roll storage containers.

Series 5: Reforestation, Grazing, and Lookout Maps, 1937-1964 Add to Shelf
Series V consists of a detailed map of the Northrup Creek Grazing Experiment, a hand-colored map depicting progress on rehabilitation of the Tillamook Burn, and a state map annotated with the locations of fire lookouts in Oregon.
