The Jayne Walters Scrapbook consists of materials assembled by Walters during her student years at Oregon State College and includes clippings, ephemera, correspondence, publications, and photographs. Walters graduated from Oregon State College in 1940 and was an editor of several student publications.

Letters written by Walters during the war years are part of the Oregon State Yank Collection. Materials documenting the work of student journalists at Oregon State College are available in the Hope Chamberlin Newspaper Columns, the Journalism Department Records (RG 091), and the Theta Sigma Phi (Alpha Eta Chapter) Records. Other issues of the Lamplighter are available in the Publications Collections (PUB 10-13d). The Archives' collections include many scrapbooks documenting student life. Of particular note for this time period (later 1930s) are the Associated Men's Halls Scrapbook, Cauthorn Club Records (RG 109), and Daniel P. and Doris Dow Murphy Papers.
