Scope and Content Note

The International Students of Oregon State University (ISOSU) Records document the administration, programs, and membership of the organization and consist of materials generated and assembled by ISOSU. The records include budgets, compact discs, certificates, constitutions, a DVD, flyers, handbooks, meeting minutes, newsletters, newspaper clippings, photographs, posters, publications, and survey materials.

The records also document events and programs sponsored by international student organizations affiliated with ISOSU. The following affiliated organizations are represented in the collection: the African, Arab, European, Hmong, Hong Kong, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Kuwaiti, Saudi Arabia, Taiwanese, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese Student Associations; ALAS (Association of Latin American Students); Chinese Association of OSU; IBP (Filipino Student Association); and PERMIAS (Indonesian Student Association).

The collection also includes materials generated by the Foreign Student Association and the International Student Organization, ISOSU's predecessor organizations at Oregon State.

The records include 40 color photographs depicting ISOSU events and staff from 2002 to 2008. Seven compact discs (CDs) are part of the collection; these contain digital photographs documenting ISOSU events, graphics designed for the ISOSU website, electronic versions of the newsletter, and music featured at Hmong and China Night events. A DVD includes a video recording of the 2007 China Night performances.
