The Research Accounting Records document the administration of funds from non-university sources for research projects at Oregon State University. The Research Accounting Office was established at Oregon State University in 1982.

The records are arranged by accession. Most accessions consist of Series I. Funded Grant Proposal Records and III. Sub-Contracts. Other series are: II. Accounts Receivable Master Listing; IV. Reports of Indirect Costs; V. Monthly Schedules of Gifts, Grants, and Contracts; and VI. Gift, Grant, and Contracts Records.
Other records documenting research conducted at OSU are available in the Research Office (RG 170). Extensive records of research conducted and/or funded by the Agricultural Experiment Station are available in the Station Records (RG 25). Many academic department records and faculty personal papers also include research records.
