Francois A. Gilfillan, 1941. Gilfillan was a professor of chemistry (1927-1939) and Dean of Science (1939-1962). He also served as acting President of Oregon State College from 1941-1942.

The College of Science Records document the administrative activities of the College of Science at Oregon State University from its founding in 1932. The records include correspondence and reports of the first dean, Earl L. Packard; enrollment statistics and biennial reports; and records of the Junior Engineers and Scientists Summer Institute.

Series one is arranged topically; series two through four are arranged chronologically.
