MSS Rauch

The August Rauch Collection consists of reference materials pertaining to plywood and veneers assembled by Rauch in the course of his work for the U.S. Plywood Corporation in Lebanon, Oregon, and in Washington. Rauch graduated from Oregon State College in 1942 with a BS in Forestry, specializing in wood products.

Rauch's senior forestry paper is available in the Oregon State University Libraries Special Collections. The Forest Products Department Records (RG 003) include extensive documentation of forest products research and teaching at Oregon State. The Archives' collections include the papers of forest products faculty, including George H. Atherton, Stanley E. Corder, Leif D. Espenas, Douglas W. Glennie, Robert D. Graham, and James W. Johnson. The Archives holdings include several collections pertaining to the forest products industry, including the Crown Zellerbach Corporation Photographic Collection (P 216), Klamath County Timber Cruising Records, Mater Engineering Tribal Consultation Files, and Wright-Blodgett Company Records.
