- Letter from LP to John Isaacs RE: Returns Isaacs' manuscript, which contains a brief review of some aspects of scientific knowledge and a presentation of some of Isaacs' ideas. The review of scientific knowledge is up-to-date in some areas, though not in others, and LP tells him that he does not think there is value in Isaacs' ideas about a unifying pattern. Also discusses his disagreement with the statement that the colors red and violet are the most alike in the spectrum and Isaacs' attempt to relate the distances from the sun to the planets in relation to the fibonacci numbers in miles.
