Linus Pauling Note to Self regarding discrimination against Professor Orekhovich. December 27, 1957Pauling states that Pasadena is closed to anyone with a Russian passport and that Professor Orekhovich won’t be able to lecture at Cal Tech because of this. He felt that this was discrimination against Cal Tech and later learned that there was no special reason why Pasadena was closed and that the city was only put on the list in November.
