Discusses the difficulties in choosing whether or not to return to the Soviet Union. Says that she wrote to the Embassy about interest in working towards receiving a doctorate in English language and literature in the Soviet Union. Tells LP that she would like to live in work in the city, where her brother is. Says she thinks it would be possible to have some of her poetry translations published. Offers background information on the conference. Requests his opinion on whether Ingram should be invited or not. Recommends that he also apply for national fellowships. Informs him that he is sending copies of the division's catalogue and is attempting to get chemistry to also send theirs and is working on getting the graduate school to send him copies of a blank application.
