Letter from Linus Pauling to Lindsay Helmholz. June 11, 1952Pauling writes that he was interested to see Helmholz and Wolfsberg's paper in the Journal of Chemical Physics, and asks several questions about valence-bond treatment, especially in regards to orbitals. He mentions the meeting of the Panel on Research of the President's Commission on the Health Needs of the Nation, noting that he got to see Compton, Shaffer and Wood there. View Transcript
