The Gifford Collection Documentary Materials consist of paper records, artifacts, and ephemera documenting the Gifford Family's activities as photographers in Oregon. The Gifford Family included four notable Oregon photographers spanning three generations: Benjamin A. Gifford; his son, Ralph, and Ralph's wife, Wanda; and Ralph and Wanda's son Ben L. Gifford.

Statement on Access: Collection is open for research.
Statement on Description: Note added June 2021: Several maps (6 total) that were not included in this finding aid have been identified as part of this collection and need to be added to the finding aid when it is next revised or updated.  The maps are circa 1935-1950 and primarily depict Oregon highways.  Several of the maps are publications of the Oregon State Highway Department and are annotated with locations for photographic shoots, likely by Ralph I. Gifford.
