Intercollegiate Athletics Moving Images, 1936-2003

Dee Andros (the Great Pumpkin) leading the football team onto the field before the Homecoming game against Idaho, 1966.  Andros was the Oregon State Head Coach for football from 1965-1975, and Athletic Director from 1975-1985.  In 1967 Andros lead the OSU "Giant Killers" team to two victories and one tie against the top three teams in the country: USC, Purdue and UCLA.

The Intercollegiate Athletics Moving Images consist of motion picture films, videotapes, and DVDs of Oregon State University athletics events, primarily football and men's basketball. The collection also includes moving images of track and field events and recordings of several special events and commemorations.

Additional moving images of sports events in the 1960s through 1980s are part of the News and Communications Services Moving Images (FV P 057). The Alumni Association Motion Picture Films and Videotapes (FV P 017) includes football films, primarily from the 1950s.
