Talks about their chronic lack of money, which greatly hinders their ability to launch an action of significant importance. Asks LP if he would be willing to induce NASA to reconsider their decision and requests that LP forward the attached letter, along with a small word in their favor. - Letter from The Chairman, Food Education Society, to LP RE: Encloses a copy of The Orange Juice Experiment, which was carried out between 1965 and 1967. Reinforces that the Society does not make any claims that vitamin C prevents, shortens, or cures colds or similar infections and that it intends to continue its research once funds are available. Notes that the only tentative conclusion that can be made at this time is that Britain may have a smaller amount of vitamin C in the national diet. Mallio, Ledgemont Laboratory, Kennecott Copper Corporation, to LP RE: Requests a pre-publication copy of his paper "Crystallography and Chemical Bonding in Sulfides", if possible. Tells him that he participated in the determination of the crystal structure of CuNH4MoS4 with Dr. Binnie at the A.C.A. and that he would like to examine the bonding of sulfur in terms of treatment of other sulfur compounds.
