Praia de Luz of Logos
Portugal
Dear Mamma and Daddy,
We are having a rather good time. We have stopped travelling for a few days to camp on
the beach of a small fishing village of ~700 people, and it is very hot and rather nice. We swim
often. The people are simple and very friendly; Julia is rapidly learning Portuguese. I hope we
are not spending too much money, but I think it is worth it to have a little holiday and to be in
the sun for a while.
I have some crystals growing in London, but there is a good deal of work still to be done.
We missed the lobster time in the fishing town that catches them, so have not really had
any. It was too bad. We are leaving tomorrow for Spain, Marseille and Stuttgart, c/o the
American Express Co. I hope to travel fairly quickly but it is quite a ways.
Should I send the Porsche to you? I shall ship it from Germany. We shall be in London
to meet you at the airport.
We are sunburned and it is somewhat painful. It is nice though, after years of cloud in
England.
You can write to us, either at Marseille or Stuttgart, I expect, though we shall be in
Marseille before a week, I hope. Perhaps least to Stuttgart. 46, Konig strasse.. [side: American
Express]
Camping is fairly difficult due to the high population densities. Most land is cultivated.
Still we manage. I do not know how Linda is. OK, I suppose.
Much love,
XXXOOO Peter
