Letter from Linus Pauling to J.D. Bernal. March 14, 1950Pauling writes about findings on crystals with a 47-Angstrom c-axis and the possibility of 36-Angstrom material. He requests that Bernal send a 38-Angstrom variant and states that Shoemaker will send a 47-Angstrom crystal. He mentions that he is continuing to speak out against the hydrogen bomb and that he hopes that Bernal has been able to straighten out some problems he has been having with "the British Ass."
