Letter from Linus Pauling to Wendell Latimer. July 12, 1949Pauling describes Dr. M. Szwarc’s current work on the dissociation energies of molecules by pyrolysis. He states that Hugh Stott Taylor has arranged a trip to the eastern U.S. and Szwarc would like to come west, so Pauling is trying to arrange some lectures for Szwarc. He asks if UC-Berkeley would be interested in having Szwarc come and if they would be willing pay a little towards the expenses. View Transcript
