These Women Students Handbooks were given to all Oregon State Agricultural College women students who lived in halls of residence on campus or sorority houses off campus.
In these handbooks were guidelines of the rules given to each student to live by to avoid conflict with fellow housemates.
These handbooks were given out by the Associated Womens Students, which was the "all-inclusive women's organization on the O.A.C. campus".
Their goal was to teach women at O.A.C. how to "maintain a high social and moral standard" by proving she is "loyal to herself, to the other girls, and to her college" by following these stated rules.
