Stravitsky, Institute of Pathology, Western Reserve University to Beatrice Wulf, Executive Secretary RE: Reports that the long review they worked on has been accepted for publication, says he is not sure when it will appear but is writing ahead of time to find out how many reprints they want when it appears, mentions that he gets 100 for free but anticipates many requests, and says he may be able to save time in returning the galley proof and order when they arrive.   • Letter from Dr. Carl Niemann, Crellin Laboratory to LP RE: Apologizes for not responding sooner. Discusses appointment of graduate assistants is not going too successfully for lack of larger stipends, but that they will have enough by fall. Also discusses the offering of a course in organic chemistry for the physics students. Updates LP on the research that has been taking place including enzyme substrates, urease, and paper chromatography. Samaras, School of Medicine, Creighton University to LP RE: Says that he conducted research in Germany in 1935 on the immunological reactions of the animal organism, describes a bit of his experiments, says the war interrupted the work, tells of his present situation at Creighton, and says the school lacks the equipment necessary for him to finish working in his present direction. Asks to collaborate with LP at Caltech, says the administration at Creighton has agreed to work with Caltech, and asks that if his proposal is accepted that LP make all the necessary arrangements for his coming there.
