Letter from Linus Pauling to W.E. Bleick. April 12, 1934Pauling writes to discuss Bleick's recent paper. He argues that Bleik has overlooked Sherman's treatment of the proton affinity of ammonia in his discussion of crystal energy when making the statement that one of the four neighbors of an ion in NH4F is closer to the ion than are the other three neighbors. He requests that Bleick explain his observations and justify them in relation to Sherman's work. View Transcript
