Dear Mr. Barrett:

Mr. E. B. Wilson was appointed Research Assistant for the summer of 1932, to receive payments of $50 on August 1st and September 1st. He has resigned the summer appointment after completing half of it, and is not to be given the second payment.

I hope that my delay in informing you does not inconvenience you.
