Letter from Linus Pauling to Martin Karplus. August 23, 1955Pauling writes to comment on Karplus’ preliminary suggestions regarding the revision of Pauling's book, "Introduction to Quantum Mechanics, with Applications to Chemistry." Pauling feels that the revisions that Karplus proposed were too extensive. Pauling argues that it should be assumed that everything in the book is good as is and chapters should only be changed if there is a strong argument to do so.
