Letter from Linus Pauling to Stephen Fritchman. November 4, 1952Pauling writes that he is sorry that he previously wrote to decline Fritchman's offer to take part in the Forum this year. He left for Europe on short notice after suddenly being granted a passport. He does, however, express that he has changed his mind and would like to speak at the forum, if there is still room. Pauling also notes that he is shocked to hear that Fritchman has not received a passport. He has written a letter of protest to the Secretary of State. Pauling passes on the happy news that he has been invited by Professor Weber to come to Germany for a German-American conference on the physiology and structure of the muscle. View Transcript
