Dear Doctor Einstein: I have just read the pamphlet titled "Only Then Shall We Find Courage" containing expressions of opinion by Professor Albert Einstein and Dean Christian Gauss on the subject of atomic energy. I have been impressed to its extent that I intend to enlist the support of all my friends and their acquaintances, and have set myself the goal of $100 to collect for your fund. I should greatly appreciate it if you would send me some copies of the pamphlet which I now have to facilitate the carrying out of my little campaign.
