In the interview, Campbell describes her upbringing in rural southwest Oregon, her early interest in athletics, and her experiences as a student at Oregon State College in the early 1950s. Much of the interview focuses on the Physical Education curriculum for women at OSC -- Campbell was a member of the first class of women allowed to major in P.E. The interview concludes with a discussion of Campbell's life after college including her pursuits as a teacher, tailor and realtor.
