Letter from Linus Pauling to Arne Tiselius. May 30, 1949Pauling thanks Tiselius for the letter and recounts his favorite parts of Tiselius's visit. He adds that his operation took longer to recover from that he thought it would but that he is now doing well. Pauling adds that he is flying to Tampa, Florida to give a commencement speech and to receive an honorary degree, Doctor of Humanities, and then to New York to attend a meeting of the American Chemical Society Board of Directors. He mentions that he looks forward to visiting Sweden, Norway and Denmark sometime in the future, and concludes by noting that they have no news to report on sickle cell hemoglobin.
