Letter from Linus Pauling to Willis R. Whitney. November 20, 1945Pauling admits that, despite the intervening years, he misses Dr. Noyes. He briefly describes Hunt's improving health and notes that he is currently developing a manuscript describing the oxygen meter designed at Caltech during World War II. He discusses the possibility of preventing the aglutination of red blood cells through the use of chemicals, a process which could cure nephritis, rheumatic fever and other related diseases.
