Letter from Linus Pauling to John T. Tate. August 15, 1938Pauling wishes to submit a paper to the Physical Review in honor of Arnold Sommerfeld's seventieth birthday. Pauling was previously asked to publish in the Annalen der Physik for the occasion, but Pauling believes Wolfgang Pauli should publish as part of the celebratory issue and, accordingly, the Physical Review should host the collection of papers in the place of the Annalen der Physik. Pauling requests that Tate consider officially publishing this collection of papers. View Transcript
