Letter from Linus Pauling to John Herman. April 14, 1936

Pauling agrees that the editorial published in Metal Progress attacking Herman's spectrographic work was both unfair and uninformed. He, however, declines Herman's request that he contact the editor of Metal Progress on Herman's behalf. Pauling states that he too is uninformed regarding Herman's latest work, and therefore cannot effectively support his work against the opinions of other scientists.  View Transcript
