Dear Dr. Einstein:

  I was impressed with your appeal after reading Norman Cousin's article enclosed.  I have spent what I have felt a balanced consideration of the whole problem presented.  I sent a ten dollar check for support of your plan.  
  Yesterday, however, I read the article in Sept. issue of "Fellowship" - the publication  of "The Fellowship of Reconciliation" on Vicarious Atonement which impressed me much more!  I am convinced that the argument is true that what most of the scientists of your committee do speaks so lowdy I can't hear what you say.  The argument in essence declares you calling for something that by your actions you are denying in you cooperation in atomic research, 90% of which is geared for destructive purpose according to Carroll Wilson.  
  Therefore I would not stop payment on the ten dollar check, but I do request a refund that it may go to those or those agencies supporting the action of scientist who have declared their un-
