Yoonie Shin
Yoonseong “Yoonie” Shin was born in Siheung, South Korea in 2001. At the age of ten, she emigrated to the United States with her mother and older brother, settling in the Hillsboro, Oregon area. Shin attended both middle school and high school in Hillsboro, after which she was accepted by Oregon State University to study Computer Science. In October 2020, before heading to college, Shin joined the United States Marine Corps, and remains a member while also a student at Oregon State. Nearing the completion of her degree at the time of this interview, Shin also worked as an IT assistant at OSU.
