Segment Synopsis: This interview was taken place on 2/16/2023. Both interviewer and interviewed are in The Valley Library, and Jennifer agrees to the verbal consent.

00:01:05 - Growing up in Hood River, High School, and Early perceptions of Corvallis

Partial Transcript: "So first question, or combination, where did you grow up? how was High school? What were your extra circulars? And maybe your relationship with Corvallis growing up?"

Segment Synopsis: Jennifer grew up in Hood River, and her mother's family was based in Corvallis. As a only child, she recalls the family time being extra special. In high school, she her main extracurricular was in band. Most of Jennifer's family went to OSU, or later worked at OSU. She dreamed of going to the "East Coast" for college, but was unrealistic when it came time to go to college.

Partial Transcript: "When you were a student here, did you live on Campus?"

Segment Synopsis: Jennifer moved into her dorm early to work at the dinning hall. At the time, West Hall was the international dorm and felt that the dorm held a sense of community. While she did not enjoy working at the dinning hall, she learned a few solid skills. Much of campus seems to be similar to when she was a freshman.

Segment Synopsis: KBVR held many of the interests of Jennifer, and have her the opportunity to explore media. She learned many new things, and even met her husband through KBVR.

Partial Transcript: "Do you want to talk about what you did (at the Valley Library as a student-employee)?"

Segment Synopsis: She started working at the library her junior year of college as a reference assistant. Her aunt and uncle both worked at the Valley Library, so it felt like "there is always a job at the library."

Partial Transcript: "Can you talk about your life outside of OSU, maybe in between OSU?"

Segment Synopsis: Jennifer worked as a Tv producer for local stations including Eugene, Portland, and Sacramento. She used her degree of New Media Communication earned at OSU. Working the grave yard shift, Jennifer found herself extremely stressed in the position.

Segment Synopsis: Jennifer always knew that she could "go back" to working at the library during her career. After working in the television industry, Jennifer decided to pursue a library science degree. She worked retails job in order to get by.

Segment Synopsis: After working for Pacific University for a few years, Jennifer was able to apply for a job back again at OSU. At the time, she was mutuals with her current lead, Sagan Wallace, and ended up getting the position.

Segment Synopsis: Jennifer loves to work with students. She is always on the edge of her seat to form relationships with students, and loves how she has the opportunity to meet students from all different backgrounds. This part of her job is her favorite as students seem to contain this unmatched level of fun to Jennifer.
