Thomas Hager: Tell me. What other things have you patented?

Linus Pauling: Well, let's see. I patented, during the war, a class of composite explosives - propellants. And it may be that they are used, to some extent, now. I never got any royalties from that, because the government had an irrevocable royalty-free license, and nobody else was interested in the powder for propelling bazookas and things like that.
