Letter from Linus Pauling to Charles M. Apt. April 9, 1952.
Pauling writes to congratulate Apt on his new position at Amherst College and to invite Apt to spend a sabbatical year at Caltech a few years from now. In so doing, Pauling notes that "In particular, the problem of the structure of nucleic acids may just be developing into a stage of rapid progress; right now not much is being done, from the x-ray standpoint." Transcript.
