Transcript

Linus Pauling: After my return from Europe, when my wife and I had gone on a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1926 and '27, I gave a seminar in physics at the California Institute of Technology on quantum mechanics of chemical bond formation or quantum mechanics of molecular structure. Einstein attended it and was asked by reporters who followed him around everywhere, of course, even to the seminar, he was asked what he thought of it and he said it was too complicated for him.
