Letter from Charles Coryell to Linus Pauling. November 16, 1937. Coryell writes to provide a detailed overview of research being done by Coryell and
his colleagues at Caltech. Among the topics covered are the status of a dialyzing
apparatus that Coryell is building and blood research scheduled to be done shortly
after the device is completed. Coryell also notes Taylor and Dodson's respective
investigations into the magnetic properties of hemoglobin. Coryell concludes by informing
Pauling of a half-written paper that Coryell hopes to submit "on the acid-base functions
of the heme of hemoglobin and myoglobin." Transcript.
