Miss Mary E. Ray, Secretary The Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists, Inc. Room 28, 90 Nassau Street Princeton, New Jersey

Dear Miss Ray:

This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter of March 10th in which you reported you were sending us 150 copies of the Einstein article "Only Then Shall We Find Courage" with its accompanying commentary by Dean Christian Gauss.
I am glad to report that these pamphlets reached us safely yesterday. We are delighted to have this additional material to add to the groups of books and pamphlets on atomic energy which we have made available in numerous reading rooms in this library.
You will doubtless be interested to know that there is a great deal of interest in this subject on our campus and all material on it is in great demand. The professor of debating in the university has awakened much interest among the students by assigning the subject of atomic energy to his classes in discussion and debate. Leland Stowe's lecture here recently stimulated interest on the part of those who heard him in becoming better informed on atomic energy, and the university newspaper is most cooperative in giving continued publicity to the library's efforts in making material on the subject readily available in all of its branches.
We are very appreciative of your cooperation in sending us these pamphlets.
  Yours very truly,
  Grace Van Wormer
  Assistant Director
