August 8, 1947
Mr. Albert Einstien, Chairman Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists Room 28 90 Nassau Street Princeton, New Jersey
Dear Mr. Einstien:
Your letter of August 6, 1947 with enclosures has been received. Your organization is the only important organization I know which speaks from what seems to me a position of highest wisdom. To me the logic of your reasoning is unanswerable.
I enclose, herewith, my check for $25.00. I am ashamed it is so small, but I, like everyone else, am hog-tied by the shortsighted demands of a very complex society.
Very truly yours,
Frederick S. Winston
