At the suggestion of Mr. John Hersey, I am writing to ask if you think it would be possible to get a statement from Dr. Einstein wishing us well in our project. We would like to publish it in the local paper, The Daily Progress, and also in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. It would carry great weight with the people of Virginia if Dr. Einstein could wish us success and repeat once more, briefly, the need for control of atomic energy.
Yours very truly, Mary Stamps White Mary Stamps White, Vice Chairman Atomic Energy Week
