Dear Mrs. Fry:
I thank you for your letter of November 22nd. The Conference which the Association of Cambridge Scientists plans to hold, the beginning of December, is definitely not a money-raising affair. It is a Conference to start an Atomic Information Committee in New England, and will be held to inform the interested people about the problem and about the method of spreading information.
I am sorry that Mrs. Curtiss was under the wrong impression that this is a money-raising meeting. I would like to tell Mrs. Curtiss about this, but I do not know how to reach her. She promised to call me up as soon as she arrived in Boston. If you have any opportunity to get in touch with her earlier than that, I would be grateful if you could let her know about the nature of this meeting.
I have received the request for a talk from the head-master of the Choate School in Connecticut. We are certainly going to fulfill this request, and we will send somebody to the school to give the lecture. It will be either myself or somebody who will do a satisfactory job.
I am glad to hear that the Princeton meeting was so successful, and I am sure that the success is mainly due to the tremendous work which you and your collaborators put into it.
