Dr.Albert Einstein, Chairman Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists Princeton,N.J.
Dear Dr.Einstein,
The enclosed check has just reached me as you will see by the enclosed letter. I have written to all 3 of the people concerned with the sending of the check and am asking Mrs.Ben Kohn to please send any further collections directly to you.
I do not know if you have expected such small donations which entail a good deal of secretarial work but I have already written you that I personally believe it is important to use any possibility of EDUCATION. Only this morning, on the radio, I heard that there had been a recent meeting of "high officers of our Army and Navy" who feel that War with Russia is inevitable. The mind poisoners are getting on with their work.
I am sending postals to both Mr . Goldin and Mrs. Powell that I have forwarded this check to you, maybe that will be sufficient recognition However they may be people about whom new groups might be formed. I don't know any of these people myself but, in my opinion, EVERYONE must be urged to action. Cordially yours (Mrs.Alice Holdship Ware) Alice Holdship Ware
