history
I look forward to increasing greatly my acquaintance with the potential for society of this revolutionary discovery. It is not given to musicians to blaze technological paths in this new field but I believe this artist can aid, if he only will, in erasing national boundaries and opening vistas upon new concepts of sovereignty. It was with this in mind that I drafted the enclosed and similar programs during the past season. Kindly accept my fervent wish for the success of the work the Emergency Committee is setting out to do. Sincerely, James Sykes
