WILLIAM PICKENS SAVINGS BOND DIVISION UNITED STATES TREASURY DEPARTMENT WASHINGTON 25, D. C.
January 23, 1947
Dr. Albert Einstein, Chairman Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists 90 Nassau Street Princeton, N. J.
Dear Dr. Einstein:
I received your letter of January 22. I am pleased to make the enclosed further donation toward your search for funds for the high and statesmanlike objective which the scientists have set before us.
I made a payment last year, at some time in the latter part of the year, towards this same pur-pose. I am glad to make this repeated payment and will be glad to keep in touch with your movement in the future. It is really a movement which we should all consider your own.
Very truly yours, William Pickens
