Dear Mary -
To those powers who be that ordain New Jersey & New York shall not meet - a vociferous phooie! Don't let la belle Grippe get you down (how can you help it?) - it saps your strength but passes as quickly as it strikes. I went thru' a siege of it last year! Anent that Montreal business - I expect a call from Miss Eliot (she called yesterday but I was out). I have more or less accepted the project & told them so, but I'll be darned if I know just what I plan to do for them! How does the Conant affair affect the thoughts of you guys down there? What a mess our "thought police" are getting us into! One of these days I'm going to sally
