history
J. Horace McFarland Company Mount Pleasant Press Harrisburg, Pennsylvania May 8, 1947
Dear Professor Einstein: Disabuse yoru mind of any difficulty about a presumably missent letter. It does not exist, and therefore should be no bother. Expressing myself of your second paragraph, I have to say that I think no man in America, and possibly no man in the world, can speak now on this relatively dreadful subject with so much effect as you can. I hope, therefore, you will find the experience not only gratifying to yourself, but what it should be to the community. Yours truly, J.Horace McFarland Prof. Albert Einstein Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists, Inc. Princeton, New Jersey
