history

North McLean "Ashrama" Washington Connecticut Venice Flordia Jan. 30, 1947 Mr. Albert Einstein, Chairman, Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists, 90 Nassau St. Princeton, N. J. Dear SIr: In answer to your letter of Jan. 20, enclosing your pamphlet "Only then shall we find courage", I wrote to you a few days ago gicing sundry suggestions for educating the American people regarding the atomic bomb and its control. This evening I listened to a discussion of the subject over the radio, by a meeting of the Town Hall discussion group. Possibly you also heard it. Ihope so. Near the end of geh meeting it was mentioned that a movie had been made on the subject, which was called "The Atomic Bomb, the Beginning or the End" I mention this because in my letter I suggested a movie as a means of an educational appeal to the American public. Sincerely your North McLean
