APR 15 RECD

HAROLD THOMAS HYMAN, M.D. 940 PARK AVENUE NEW YORK 28, N.Y.

April 12th, 1948

Dear Professor Einstein:

I would like to volunteer my services in the drive to raise funds for the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists.

Mrs. Hyman and I attended the Dinner to Dr. Condon last night. Neither of us has before felt so deeply moved and neither of us have ever tried our hands at fund raising. Because of the nature of my practise, I am in contact with many people who could and should generously support the work of the Emergency Committee. If you will authorize me to do so and, if you will send me both the pledge cards and an equal number of the lists of sponsors for the Dinner, as well as any other information that might be useful, I would like to solicit my patients and friends by personal letter and see what I can do do help raise the modest sum of $50,000. which us needed for the continuation of this imperative obligation.

Yours faithfully,

Harold Thomas Hyman, M.D.
