Dear Mr. Einstein,
I am happy to send your comm. hereby my contribution of $25.00 to help you and your committee to teach humanity to hold and tame the monster Frankenstein which a group of scientists who had more knowledge than understanding turned loose upon our world. I should send you much more, but there are so many cries for help, too feed the hungry and clothe the cold, to heal the sick, young and old in body and mind, and to fight our militarists and profiteers, (our hate and warmongering merchants of death) hence the small amount. May I tell you however that I am grateful to know that a man of your ability and reputation will forego the life of leisure you could enjoy to work at the thankless task of trying to teach humanity how it may be saved. So with the sincerest thanks to you and your comm.
